I don’t know how people don’t like rodents and are afraid of them. Domesticated ones are absolutely adorable and harmless <3

i say this to people all he FUCKING time.
a poodle could be just as agressive if raised that way.
i love pits!
i have to reblog stuff like this every time i see it.. i think pits are beautiful but there’s a pitbull next door that the owner had since she was a puppy. she’s a beautiful dog and she’s great. she used to run up to me to pet her whenever i came home. she never attacked anyone. she loved being around people and loved kids. but, when she was an adult, i got a little chihuahua/corgi that’s already 8 years old. last year, she attacked and almost killed my dog. why? idk. my dog wasn’t near her. she raged full speed at my dog onto my property and tried to kill my dog and was almost successful. the vet said my dog was lucky. so, i dont believe in this bullshit. pits will be pits. no matter how they are raised. in some cases, they will turn and lash out for no reason.
/rant“Pits will be pits.” No. If a dog is raised properly, from puppy age (6-8wks), and is introduced to different walks of life, different animals, other dogs (dog park), the less likely it will fear those things if they meet them later in life. For a very long time pitbulls were bred strictly for fighting. So yes, they will typically be more aggressive than other dogs. Owners have to be careful in training the dogs, letting them know they are not the alpha male. I have a part pitbull part boxer part mountain cur puppy. He looks like a pitbull. My neighbor was giving him the eye yesterday because he was barking. I wanted to smack the shit out of him. My mom’s shitzu is mean. My pit is not.
This^ I want a pitbull so hard, these babies are so cute and sweet.
Pits used to be called the “nanny” dog because they are so loyal and great around children. It really is up to the owner no matter the breed of the dog.
